Biography

 

GAVLYN is a Latin American female Hip Hop artist born and raised in San Fernando Valley, California. Lower middle class upbringing, she grew up in a household with a family of 6. Deep in the heart of the Artist District of North Hollywood, she started out doing spoken word at the young age of 16. A few MF Doom albums later, those poems became raps and she was immediately enamored by the hip hop culture. She found her escape in the melting pot of the LA rap scene as she frequently attended heavy hitter rap nights such as Low End Theory, Project Blowed, and Urban Underground where her voice became her identity.

She dropped her first video on YouTube in 2012 titled “ WHAT I DO ”, shot and directed by Poetic Death, off her 1st album “From The Art” that went viral on the internet. Gavlyn continues to pave her way in the rap game on the independent record label Broken Complex with her long time friend/ producer DJ HOPPA.

The domino effect continues to be consistent with Gavlyn and her team as she continues to go viral on the internet till this day. She is known for her songs “ WHAT I DO ”, “ WE ON ”, “ NO BACKPACKS ”, “ PASS THAT ”, “ NEEDS ” and many more. Gavlyn’ s music has taken her around the world, tours yearly, and has a fan base that continues to grow.
